Driving: New Hampshire & New England

DOCTOR’S APPOINTMENTS

Is your doctor sending you to a specialist in at DHMC? Planning on taking the bus? …. Did you know you have to take the bus to Boston THEN another one up to Lebanon?

Does the bus sound appealing at all, especially when you already don’t feel well?

Have me drive you door to door instead — I’ll take you to pharmacy afterwards.

Local hospitals, too …. LRH, AVH, etc.

VERMONT & MAINE

Guess what? there’s no bus from here to their either …. you’d have to go to Concord and switch for a bus to Maine and all the way to Boston to hop one back up to Burlington Vermont

MASSACHUSETTS

Perhaps you are headed to Boston to which there IS a bus but you’re bringing too much stuff to lug around? …. and there’s only one bus down each day and it’s in the early morning

Plus the bus is only to Boston.  No more P&B to take you to the Cape.

DESIGNATED DRIVING

Driving after a few drinks is just plain wrong. Let me drive you to/from your parties.

If you’re hosting the festivities, I can transport your guests.

Not a limo, but a sedan that can hold two couples or four friends.

Arranged rides are Plan A but last minute calls are okay, I want everyone safe.

SAFE DRIVING RECORD/CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK

A copy of my safe driving record is available to show I have no accidents or tickets on my record.  My criminal background check showing I am safe to be with is, too.  Just ask.

Odds & Ends

Small Children must have their own seats

Animals welcome (with notice)*

No smoking in or immediately around my car … but you can eat and drink all you want!

  1. Hi Maura,

I am establishing the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail, the first named and mapped cross state bike route in NH. It starts where the Cross Vermont Trial ends at the CT River at Woodsville and travels 83 miles through Bath, Lisbon, Littleton, Whitefield, Jefferson, Randolph, Gorham, Shelburne, and into ME through Gilead and into Bethel. It is a multi-surfaced route that utilizes rail trails, dirt roads, rec paths and quiet paved roads as much as possible. I list all types of services along the way on my website (www.crossnewhampshire.org). I would like to create a list of shuttle services for one way cyclists, either doing the entire route or just day trips.

I see that you shuttle hikers. Bikers are a bit more difficult …because of their bikes. If you are capable of transporting cyclists and bikes. let me know and I can put you and “At Your Service” on my website listings. If you cannot do bikes, but you know of anyone who would be willing to be added to the list, I would be glad to know of them.

I like your website and your long list of skills!! I might meed you for a few of these someday!

    Thanks!
    Marianne

    1. Hi, Marianne, by all means list me. I’ve been meaning to add cyclists to the offerings on my blog.

I can transport two bicycles on a rack strapped to my trunk (alas, no roof rack)

      Thank you,
      Maura Annette Chappelle
